Canadian Pork Excellence Lead
Tim was raised on the family farm (grain and cattle) near Abernethy, Saskatchewan. Working alongside his father and grandfather from an early age fueled a love for agriculture that would set the course for Tim’s future.
After achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture (majoring in Animal Science) from the University of Saskatchewan in 1995, Tim moved back to Abernethy to work for the local swine operation owned and operated by National Pig Development. He started as a herdsperson at the Tullymet Nucleus facility, quickly moved into barn management positions and was promoted to Production Manager in 2001. Over a 27 year career in the swine industry, Tim continued to work for the same company (now known as Hypor). He held many different positions, all while ensuring he remained close to home to enjoy life with his family and continue working on the family farm, purchasing some of his own land along the way.
Tim began working for Warman Veterinary Services in January 2023, focusing his efforts on assisting their swine clients with achieving validation under the PigSafe|PigCare program of the Canadian Pork Excellence (CPE) platform. He enjoys working with the clients and getting to see the amazing people and operations involved in the Saskatchewan swine industry!
Tim and his wife Kelly have a son (Morgan) and a daughter (Madeline). They enjoy spending time with their grown children as often as they can and appreciate small town living. They proudly continue to operate the family farm, now strictly a grain operation, which has been owned and operated by the Bray family for 115 years.
